Blood Pressure Readings And Alcohol
Blood pressure readings are affected by various states of the body throughout the day, resting , sleeping, anxiety and such.
Blood pressure can also be affected as well by various diseases that are seen in many people. It can also be affected by outside influences such
as food and drinks that we consume. Specifically, the consumption of alcoholic drinks can be a major factor that influences blood pressure in a
person.
It is of utmost importance that more people pay attention to the effects of alcohol on the body and the relationship between
alcohol and their blood pressure reading. Alcohol and blood pressure is such an important relationship that could very well determine whether or
not you are a healthy or unhealthy individual. Simply drinking alcohol in any amount could also increase the chance of other medical issues.
These issues could then indirectly lead to an increase in your blood pressure readings.
People who drink regularly are exceptionally prone to having high blood pressure. The excessive alcohol harms their kidneys in
such a way that more pressure is exerted on arteries and such, since the kidneys are closely connected with blood pressure. Those that choose to
drink should limit the amount they drink to one or two drinks every day or so. Women that chose to imbibe should be especially careful as to how
much they drink, because the female tolerance to alcohol is normally lower than a man's. If blood pressure becomes a big problem due to drinking,
doctors are very likely to recommend drastic steps in the treatment if the person is to survive.
Due to the calories in alcohol, and the fact that many heavy drinkers eat excessively, they will often become overweight. This
consumption of alcohol, at the very least, can be a contributing factor to being overweight, due the number of calories alcohol contains. This
obvious beer gut people get after downing a six pack a day not only makes you look bad, chances are it's also raising your blood pressure to
dangerously high levels. It is a known fact, the more fat a person has on them, the more pressure that the fat is going to put on arteries, which
will, in turn, raise the pressure of the blood pressing against those arteries.
We know there is a strong correlation between drinking alcohol and high blood pressure, so it is plain to see that drinking less
is going to drastically help keep a person's blood pressure readings down. There are other obvious health risks that could be avoided by drinking
less but, not having to worry about a high blood pressure could be one of the best to consider. Physicians with patients who have a high blood
pressure should warn them about limits in regards to drinking in order to better prepare people for the consequences they could encounter.
To obtain healthy blood pressure readings, we need to live healthier lives which, many times will require us to make big and
drastic changes in our life styles.
